Lead Infrastructure Systems Engineer (55k - 60k)

My client is a global leader in innovative consumer and industrial products, known for advanced engineering, strong manufacturing excellence and a commitment to technology‑driven transformation. They are seeking a high calibre IT infrastructure talent to lead the architecture, operation and continuous enhancement of enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, virtualization, networking and security.

Job Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end infrastructure architecture and long‑term roadmap
• Define standards, patterns and best practices for core platforms
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance performance and resilience
• Provide expert‑level administration across servers, storage, virtualization and identity platforms
• Lead major incident resolution, RCA and long‑term corrective actions
• Oversee capacity planning, performance tuning and lifecycle management
• Implement and maintain robust backup, restore and DR strategies
• Guide hybrid/on‑prem integration with cloud platforms where relevant
• Drive automation using scripting and IaC tools to improve efficiency
• Mentor team members and act as the senior technical escalation point

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in system administration or infrastructure engineering, including senior/lead roles
• Deep expertise in Windows/Linux, virtualization, storage, backup and identity services
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and infrastructure security practices
• Proven experience with HA, clustering and enterprise‑scale environments
• Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid architecture concepts
• Exposure to IaC, configuration management or observability tools
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, network/security, cloud) preferred
• Comfortable with occasional business travel across APAC
• Proficient in Mandarin, English and Cantonese
